Acoustic Love

icon
So, like I've been telling October, I wanna learn Northern Downpour on acoustic badly. I kid you not, it's probably one of my top favorite PATD songs. Well, I was browsing around on YouTube again and I came across a strapping lad who has a great voice and sweet tabs for the song.

His name is Ben Connor, and well, just watch the video and you'll understand. He does great covers as well as has some pretty fantastic original songs. Needless to say he's got sick talent. Check out his other videos here!
Also, if someone, anyone for that matter, has tabs for Anarbor's Passion For Publication, please send them my way and I will give you a cookie! Anywho, so today was very uneventful really, just that, and still no word from NFG or Bayside's publicity teams/band members. I'm kinda starting to lose hope, but I'll try and keep my chin up and hope for the best.

YouTubin'

So, I've been browsing the YouTubez today and I found probably, the coolest dude, ever. His name, as he says, is Mitchell Davis aka LiveLavaLive on YouTube. He is basically, the most random dude ever. He is utterly fantastic!

Go subscribe! Also, I am really getting into this group called CocoRosie, which is a sister duo based out of France. As soon as I heard their song Werewolf in a video featuring Alex Pardee doing his amazing art, I fell in love.

Anyway so if you guys haven't heard V&J got a youtube page! Go check it out here!
In case you can't watch the videos on YouTube at the moment, I am in need of your help. If you've checked the site recently, you'd know that I'm currently in the process of getting an interview with New Found Glory and/or Bayside. I need questions, kids! So send them in via our YouTube page, or email us at verminandjetlag@yahoo.com! But please, no questions involving their personal life!

In other Sara7x life news...I GOT AN ACOUSTIC!
It's a FirstAct acoustic from the 222 series designed by Maroon 5's Adam Levine.

It's gorgeous! It's pretty much perfect, and I'm so happy my mother purchased this for me as an early birthday present, so thanks, Ma! I plan to (hopefully) learn Northern Downpour by PATD.

You are all probably wondering why I haven't been blogging. Well, fact is, I haven't found anything that I profoundly wanted to talk about really. I was going to blog Friday, but unfortunately, I got a crazy case of 24-hour food poisoning. So I was preying to the porcelain god all that night. Food poisoning=no fun.
And with that I am going to leave you with my sleepy time playlist. I literally listen to this playlist every night before I go to bed and I have added some new songs! Life Is Just A Dream That We Chase After

I'm back with a vengeance! Okay, not really, but pretty bloody close. So again, it's early morning, and I'm awake once again. I really need to quit doing that, seriously. Anywho, I am currently listening to some Sugar Ray as I write this. I can't think of much to say really. Okay there is one thing. Okay this is an open letter to the show Inside Edition.

Dear Inside Edition,
Are you fucking kidding me? Who gives two shits what the Obama girls where or what the fucking first lady wears? Last time I check this was a presidential inauguration, not fucking New York fashion week. Do the world a favor and just get off the air along with any other pointless and stupid celebrity gossip show that cares more about fashion then the fact if Obama is going to do the world some good.
-Sara

See this is what I don't get. How is fashion a fucking factor? Honestly now, how fucking pathetic do you have to be to just mention what the hell they were wearing?!
Other then that the week thus far has been boring. I've been listening to mad amounts of The Academy Is and I discovered that they calm me down and put me to sleep faster. I used to think Amanda Palmer and Punk Goes Acoustic did that. Random, I know. Yeah I can't think of anything else to say really...I'll keep this short and sweet and end it. But before I end it, here is a playlist for me. Basically what I'm listening to!

1) Now That We're Done-Metro Station
2) Northern Downpour-Panic At The Disco
3) That 70's Song-The Cab
4) His Girl Friday-The Academy Is...
5) She's A Lady- Forever The Sickest Kids
6) The Rapid-The Oohlas
7) Officer & A Gentleman-Lola Ray
8) The Fear-Lily Allen
9) Love Instead-Anarbor

Have A Good Day Kids!,

Let The Flames Begin

The question I'm pondering is why and the heck am I up at the 3 in the morning? I guess I'll never know. If you were following me on Twitter, you'd know that I got kinda sick yesterday. Instead of walking today I am going to use my trusty Wii Fit! Yeah I know, lame, but hey, it gets the job done.
Unfortunately I really won't have a playlist since the game provides it's own little soundtrack(if you can call it that). I think I'll just make a 30 minute playlist though because one area on it, you have to walk on and off the balance board for a preset amount of time. So without further adue...

1) When The Day Met The Night-Panic At The Disco
2) Dance, Dance-Fall Out Boy
3) The Anthem-Good Charlotte
4) The Last Song-The All-American Rejects
5) XO-Fall Out Boy
6) Build God, Then We'll Talk-Panic At The Disco
7) Rag Doll-Ashlee Simpson

Again this playlist is courtesy of Zune's kick ass autoplaylist. Yes, I'm anti-iPod. Okay not really, but I do prefer Zune 9 times out of 10. The only iPod I'd actually want is the Touch just because of the interweb access.
Enough of that though.
I read an interesting blog by Gerard Way, singer for the band My Chemical Romance, talking about the fact that no grocery in the state of California has FrankenBerry cereal...

Probably the greatest quote from said blog was:

"Am I going to have to order some of Amazon? Picture that for a minute...just close your eyes let your imagination bring this scenario to life...A person, me, you, whoever- logging onto amazon, pulling out an actual credit card, inputing the exact numbers and the desired shipping address, possibly even selecting "Next-Day Air" to get some goddamned Frankenberry in a motherfuckin' cereal bowl."

Now I've gotta say, that had to be the most random blog I've read today, no lie. I mean, this kinda defeats his whole blog on peg warmers. If you haven't read that entry check it out here.
I gotta admit though, the My Chem guys have some pretty bloody fantastic blogs. Bob basically makes me laugh at all times. He puts up the most random videos ever and some are pretty funny. One in particular made me laugh and angry. He literally posted one of the JONAS BROTHERS from their New Year's performance. I was thinking this entire time, WTF?!
But I digress. Also, I have been diddling around online a bit. To be more specific with the Rock Band website. If you have a PS3, Xbox 360, or a Wii, you are able to link your game to an account on the website. And another amazing thing is you can seriously make custom photos of your bands or your character!

Nikki and SaraFeen, as in my sister and I's characters on Rock Band 2 Wii.

It's so bad ass! I love that thing, although the only issue I have, is that it won't update your character look. It's a known issue as stated on the site and they are still working on it, but to be clear, I really don't mind all that much.

Wow, I'm so random. Anyway, cutting it here since I have to attempt some sleep at some point ya know!

Peace,
Sara

Jagged Gorgeous Winter

I've always hated the cold, but this is just awful. I'm currently freezing my bum off in my own house. Then again, why wouldn't I? I mean, I'm wearing shorts for goodness sake. I spent the remainder of my night yesterday watching Trauma Center along with some other random Vh1 Celeb-reality shows. My plans for today are going to be walking once again, and hopefully, go out somewhere. Not sure the destination as of yet but it'll be something at the very least. For the past year I've felt like an utter hermit stuck in my shell. I've been basically indoors for the time being. I never seem to find anything to do outside of my house really. No concerts have been coming through that I really would want to go to, nor are there any movies I need to see.
I feel proper pathetic you see. Ah well, one more year and the Gainseville, here I come.

I actually just discovered my Zune software has the ability to make an auto playlist made to my own custom details. Such as, only include these artists or how long it needs to be, etc. So here is the new Walk playlist for today.

1) Stab My Back-The All-American Rejects
2) Chop Chop-The Academy Is...
3) I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song...-Fall Out Boy
4) Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes-Fall Out Boy
5) Neighbors-The Academy Is...
6) Now That We're Done-Metro Station
7) The Anthem Ft. Hollywood Holt [Million $ Mano Remix]-Good Charlotte
8) I Can't Do It Alone-3Oh!3
9) Broken Hearts Parade Ft. Philieano and Tabi Bonney [Marshall Arts Remix]-Good Charlotte
10) Here We Go Again-Paramore
11) I Am Me-Ashlee Simpson
12) S.O.S.-Good Charlotte
13) Time To Dance-Panic At The Disco
14) La La-Ashlee Simpson
15) Little Things [Patrick Stump Remix]-Good Charlotte
16) Misery Business [Acoustic Version]-Paramore

I've been getting pains shooting down my legs from walking as much as I've been. It's working though thank goodness. As it were, I'm going to bid you farewell for now. I have some things to work on and hopefully I'll blog once again today.

Mind Boggling

icon
That's the one phrase I use often. But I don't just throw it around like a stinky sack of garbage you see. The way a person can bring this phrase out of me probably blew my mind in the way of knowledge. See, my dear readers, I am an avid fan of any form of literature. I mean, if you look back to my childhood, starting in the 2nd or 3rd years of my school time career, I read whatever I could. By 3rd grade I was apparently at the 8th grade comprehension, which to my teacher was pretty impressive at the time. I shudder to think of what it is now, since I never really have the drive to push into books surpassing my vocabulary (except when it came to The Odyssey which, thank goodness, wasn't my choice read)...

October Elizabeth, a far away friend and my partner in crime when it comes to talks of music or life. Now, October and I originally started talking via a message board back some time ago called "The World's Most Hated" which in itself was made up of a group of wonderful woman that are in the industry and are successful in their current career. Unfortunately, the site was taken down along with our dear message board but all of us WMHL(World's Most Hated Lurkers) still speak via MySpace and Twitter. To be quite honest, I felt a very close connection to October. She and I seem to share the same brain at some moments.
She told me of a site she was starting with her friend, Rachael, called Vermin and Jetlag. V&J is basically an online magazine if you will. We do interviews, we write reviews, and we are hopefully going to branch out into other ways.
When October sent me a rough copy of her Modern Hardcore article that was to be up on the site in a matter of a week or more, I couldn't believe what I read.
The way October explains her love for music is only something I dreamed I could do in normal conversation. Needless to say, she has knowledge to boot.
October and I talk on the micro blog site Twitter frequently about music and our dreams for the future. She always says how she wants to a music journalist and honestly, I can see her going far beyond that.

Her wording in general could probably kill some of the top music bloggers out in the world. I know what you're going to say, and yes I am a avid reader of many music blogs. This girl, not even kidding, could knock them all on their asses with her knowledge and grasp on what music is now and how it should be. She has a good ear for upcoming bands as well. She introduced me to The Cab, and honestly, I never looked back. Now, she's is working on a biography. I got the rough part of the first chapter and again I was astounded. Mind boggling is the phrase to describe this person. She is going to go far, there is no doubt about that. So this is to you, October, because you will reach beyond the stars to every single one of your wildest dreams.

Good Day,
Sara

Introductions are so...boring?

icon
First entry and I'm still trying to remember why I'm even writing this. I spent my day going on a walk and it was probably the best/worst feeling. It was freezing outside, and it seriously felt like my nose was going to fall off. That and I have a starting point of a cold so I'm sure walking won't be amazing in the next coming days. My playlist for the walk (if you could even define it as that) was as follows:

1) Northern Downpour-Panic At The Disco
2) La La Land-Demi Lovato
3) Runs In The Family-Amanda Palmer
4) Neatfreak 47-3Oh!3
5) Don't Trust Me-3Oh!3
6) When I Grow Up-The Pussycat Dolls
7) Electroshock-3Oh!3
8) The Fear-Lily Allen
9) About A Girl-The Academy Is...
10) Summer Hair=Forever Young-The Academy Is...
11) Boston-Augustana
12) Bounce-The Cab
13) That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)-Panic At The Disco
14) Hot N Cold-Katy Perry

Now, just so to make it clear, that was basically the full contents of my 30GB Zune on shuffle. It only had like 638 songs at the time since before hand my Zune decided not to play any music until I hooked it to my (what I once thought) broken computer. Now the memory has just a little over 2,000 and I'm trying to think of what I want to add.

Mostly artists repeat, which I have no clue why exactly.
Other than that little bit, which I assume was completely and utterly boring...
Sorry for the rambling but that's how I role I suppose. When it comes to music in general I can ramble. That or if it's a movie I love or can't stand...Either way, I like to ramble.

Oh, well I'm sure you all want to learn a little more about me besides my sudden bursts of sentences that basically draw out nothing in particular but how random and odd I must be.
To make this clear, my given name at birth was Sara Zella, and I choose not to disclose my last name since the fact is everyone I come into contact with almost always pronounces it completely wrong and it gets kind of irritating. Now Zella is not a common middle name sure, but that's what I like most about it. It means Night for those who are sitting their racking their brains. My name is Princess Night as it were. Now I was born on the morning of March 20th, 1992. A tender 16 I know, but hey, you can never judge on age, right?
Being the youngest of the family really isn't a huge thing, although I do get irritated with the little sibling rivalry quips I have with my sister who is 5 years my senior.
Enough about that though...

I love art. Art is one thing I can connect with without hesitation. Although, unfortunately for me, my art isn't really up to par. I'm still practicing! See, both my sister and brother have the ability to draw extremely well; I do not. I draw okay I guess, but nothing to really be proud of, at least in my opinion. I am more or less into any form of digital art. The computer does wonderful things when you put your mind to work with a Wacom tablet in hand. I also love to sing. That (according to my mother) I inherit from my grandfather. Although, to this day I have never heard him sing...

Well, unfortunate for you, I'm going to leave you hanging for a bit. I don't really have the thought process, time, or need to write much more about myself. But hey, feel free to ask me questions. And you can also check out my art if you'd like.

Good Day,
Sara
